Bravo! Celebrating the Filipino
The Ayala group of companies, under the leadership of chairman emeritus Jaime Zobel de Ayala, paid tribute to Filipino artistry and ingenuity with Bravo!, a yearlong festival celebrating Philippine art, history, and culture.
Starting in February, the group staged a series of activities to deepen our experience of the country’s artistic and cultural legacy.
Bravo! showcased Filipino music and musical artists through Harana, a series of pocket concerts featuring timeless Filipino love songs; Bravo! Presents Cecile Licad, which welcomed home one of the world’s most acclaimed classical pianists; and Songs for Every Filipino, a concert that showed the wealth of our musical heritage.
Bravo! also honored the achievements and beauty of the Filipino woman through an exhibit and a fashion show that, for the first time, featured only the works of Filipina designers.
With the opening of ArtPark, the Ayala group provided Filipinos with a place where they could see large-scale sculptures and installations done by established and up-and-coming artists. Artisans at Work, meanwhile, celebrated the fine art of photography and the quiet and dignified work of Filipino artisans.
Lastly, The Filipino Screen reintroduces to the public some of the classics of Filipino cinema.
Bravo! is spearheaded by Ayala Land Inc. and the Ayala Malls Group; Ayala Foundation, through the Filipinas Heritage Library and Ayala Museum; Ayala Corporation; Globe Telecom; and the Bank of the Philippine Islands.
